Transferring domain registration from 2MHost to another host/registrar
2MHost registers domain names through wholesale accounts with enom.com and opensrs.com. As a result, we don't have direct access to manage individual domain names.
To transfer a domain name registered by 2MHost to a different registrar or host, please initiate the transfer process from your new host or domain registrar.
Domain Transfer Timing:
To ensure a successful transfer, please initiate the domain transfer process at least 7 days before the expiration date. Transfers attempted closer to the expiration date may not be completed. transfer requests for expired domain names will not be processed (this is how domains work, not a 2MHost policy). It's essential to plan ahead and initiate transfers before the expiration date to avoid any complication
Please note that a 60-day waiting period applies to domain transfers. This means that:
(1) 60 days must have passed since the initial domain registration, or
(2) 60 days must have passed since the last domain transfer. Only after this 60-day period can you initiate a domain transfer. This is a standard industry requirement to prevent domain name hijacking and ensure domain stability. Once again, this is how domains work, not a 2MHost policy.
Get the EPP code
A domain authorization code (also referred to as an Auth Code or EPP Code) is required to initiate the domain transfer process, you can get the code emailed to the domain registrar email address from your admin area > domains > select domain > transfer out tab.
The system will show the registrar email address, and will check if domain is locked and unlock it.
